# cant uninstall volt

if the Volt installer says `Unable to uninstall the previous volt ui` or something similar, then download this uninstall.exe file:

[UNINSTALL.EXE DOWNLOAD](https://github.com/lefiera/files/releases/download/jew/uninstall.exe)

then put the `uninstall.exe` in the place where you had volt installed before (usually its installed in `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Volt` ) and run the `uninstall.exe` program and uninstall volt. then try to install volt again using the volt installer
